Information, Advice & Careers Guidance
We are constantly challenging our students to raise their aspirations and 'aim high' and our links with our sixth form and our partner universities allow many of our students to experience further education and university first hand and realise that both are viable options. With students now required to stay in education or training until they are 18, it is now more important than ever that students know what choices are available to them, how to access the information they need and that they know what their options are post-16 so that they can progress further and be the best they can be.
Ethics, Transition and Citzenship Programme
Our Ethics, Transition and Citizenship programme (ETC) provide students with the time and space to develop a number of skills alongside their peers. Students spend time in their form groups, with their form tutor facilitating discussion based sessions on various topics aimed at developing their understanding of their place in society.
UCAS University Applications
In order to support students in their applications for university, form tutors spend time during the ETC programme discussing the application process, especially helping students to research their courses and universities of choice, then putting together their personal statements.
